Expressing distributives in English

Distributives are designed to refer to groups of things or people. They can be used to express the group or individual members or units of the group. In relation to the term, it’s used to describe how things are distributed. Distributive terms are: each, every, all, half, both, either, and neither. Examples of distributives 

Examples:

  • I drink coffee every morning.
  • She went out to celebrate with all her friends.
  • Every rose has its thorns.
  • Neither of them remembered how they met.
